Kate Smith quit her job at CBS because, as she told the media, she wanted to speak out on abortion rights. Subsequently, she took a job with Planned Parenthood as its senior director of news content. According to one report, “National Review once called her ‘Planned Parenthood’s Ambassador to CBS News’ in a scathing profile, noting her friendly coverage of the organization and tendency to rely on pro-choice sources and opinions in her news articles.”

We do not approve of the term pro-choice because it masks the truth about what is being supported by those who embrace the label. After all, the choice is to kill innocent people because of their place of residence, and while it may be obvious that Smith really means she is pro-killing, we think the preferred label of the pro-aborts is a ruse.

But then again, major news media fell in love with Planned Parenthood years ago, and they do everything they can to accommodate the nation’s number-one promoter of aborting innocent children. The only difference for Smith now, in her new job, is that she can be even more rabidly pro-abortion than ever.

As various states prepare for the possibility that the Supreme Court will effectively stop some abortions when it decides the Dobbs case, Planned Parenthood’s Alexis McGill Johnson is not keeping quiet.

Regarding Michigan, where a case is being prepared to immediately overturn the state’s anti-abortion law if the Supreme Court rules in favor of life, Johnson said: “It is terrifying to think that Michiganders could wake up one day without the right to make their own medical decisions, and dedicated health care professionals could be imprisoned for providing essential health care. We don’t have the luxury of complacency. . . . Michigan’s antiquated and unconstitutional pre-Roe abortion ban is far too dangerous to leave on the books.”

The irony in her words does not escape those of us who understand Planned Parenthood’s commitment to death on demand. Aborting a child is not healthcare but rather lethal treatment that targets an innocent child and eliminates that child’s life. In a moral society, such an act would be called imposed death, not healthcare.

In Montana, it has been reported that Planned Parenthood is covering up its treatment of young girls who have been raped. Montana attorney general Austin Knudsen is focusing his attention on the manner in which Planned Parenthood is avoiding the reporting of statutory rape in the cases of minor girls because the state’s parental notification law has been blocked for over nine years.

Planned Parenthood sued to block that law, and according to LifeNews “has belittled the importance of protecting young pregnant girls from abuse.”

Knudsen stated: “The evidence already on record in this case demonstrates precisely why the State must enforce these vital laws, because [Planned Parenthood abortion facilities] fail to adequately protect the interests of their patients.”

This is especially egregious in those cases where the girls in question are younger than 16.

If the United States Supreme Court acts to curtail abortion availability, California is ready to open wide its borders as it becomes an abortion haven. Needless to say, Planned Parenthood is at the head of the deadly pack. Jodi Hicks, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, has stated: “It is our moral imperative that we continue to provide the leadership that people are looking for.”

Note that the word “moral” in that sentence sounds ridiculous when you realize that Hicks is talking about taking a leadership role in the killing of the innocent, but there’s no mention of the poisoning of the bodies of women through their profit-making contraceptive and abortifacient business.

CalMatters reports that “Planned Parenthood, which operates about half of the 165 abortion clinics in California, reports that it has treated at least 80 out-of-state patients per month on average since September, when Texas adopted a law allowing residents to seek civil damages against anyone who aids an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy.”

Planned Parenthood is also efficient about killing the babies who are not yet six weeks of age because of its chemical abortion business. So whatever the age of the baby, in California the death machine will not be curtailed if the Supreme Court hands down an abortion-regulation decision.

Missouri’s attorney general, Eric Schmitt, has tried to shut down Planned Parenthood in his state. PP is the ONLY abortion provider left, but a judge is siding with Planned Parenthood. The judge has awarded Planned Parenthood all of its attorney fees, which prompted the president and CEO of Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region to say: “This is yet another proof point of how costly it is for Missourians when politicians insist on unlawful and politically motivated attacks on abortion. These legal fees represent wasted time and resources that could’ve been used to improve access to health care, maternal mortality, and a crumbling public health system.”

Of course, she means that there could have been more money available to pay for the killing of Missouri’s preborn children.

President Biden has named as ambassador to the Holy See a man who supported Planned Parenthood during his tenure in public office. Former Indiana senator Joe Donnelly is going to the Vatican despite his deadly record and recently said: “I look forward to deepening our ties with the Holy See. My family and I are proud to be members of the Catholic faith.”

Hypocrisy aside, Donnelly represents the sort of Catholic-in-name-only individual that someone like Biden would be all too happy to have on his team. Thus, we come to the very reason why Planned Parenthood thrives even when Catholics are involved politically.

… for the day when men like St. Athanasius return to the battlefield, saying as they teach and defend Christ: “The Lord did not come to make a display. He came to heal and to teach suffering men. For one who wanted to make a display the thing would have been just to appear and dazzle the beholders. But for Him Who came to heal and to teach the way was not merely to dwell here, but to put Himself at the disposal of those who needed Him.”
