  • Planned Parenthood using Guttmacher to push for unlimited, free abortions
  • Surprise! Planned Parenthood doesn’t like the police
  • Planned Parenthood in New York State
  • TCAPP efforts result in closing of three Planned Parenthood clinics

By Jim Sedlak

Having gotten its flunkies elected to key positions (including president, vice-president, and speaker of the house) in the federal government, and the appointment of many more abortion-lovers (e.g., Xavier Becerra) to key federal positions, Planned Parenthood is using the Guttmacher Institute (originally part of PP) to push its radical baby-killing agenda.

Guttmacher published a REPORT in its 2021 Guttmacher Policy Review DEMANDING that the federal government open the doors to the mass murder of preborn babies.

The tone of the Guttmacher Report can best be explained by this paragraph from the beginning of the document:

The current crises also point clearly to the necessity of holistic, values-based and justice-oriented solutions. For example, when someone decides to have an abortion, they should be able to do so with dignity, on the timeline that meets their needs, and with affordable, equitable access to care. Together, Congress and the Biden-Harris administration have the power, mandate and moral imperative to make this vision a reality.

Wow! Ending the life of a preborn child created by God is not murder, according to Planned Parenthood—it is a moral imperative!

After spending the first three pages of this seven-page report describing all the reasons the authors believe that even more of God’s children are not being killed every year, the report launches into a description of what it demands be done.

Beginning on page four, the report describes what it calls “priorities for federal action.” Included in those priorities are:

  1. “Congress and the Biden-Harris administration must act swiftly to shore up and expand access to abortion.”
  2. “Congress and the Biden-Harris administration must use their platforms to speak clearly and often about abortion rights and equitable access, condemn antiabortion violence and intimidation, and destigmatize the full range of abortion methods, including self-managed abortion.” [“self-managed abortions” is an industry term for killing a baby at home or elsewhere using the abortion pill.]
  3. “Congress must act without delay to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would establish a federal statutory right for providers to deliver and patients to receive abortion … free from medically unnecessary bans and restrictions.”
  4. “Congress must ensure (abortion) is affordable to everyone who wants to end a pregnancy [i.e., kill a baby]. This will require a number of significant steps, including:
    1. Removing the Hyde Amendment and related coverage bans from annual spending bills.
    2. Passing the EACH Woman Act to ensure people can obtain insurance coverage of abortion whether they get their coverage or care through Medicaid, Medicare, other public programs or private health plans.
    3. Passing the HEAL for Immigrant Women and Families Act; among other things, it would enable all lawfully present immigrants to enroll in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program if they are otherwise eligible.
    4. Expanding comprehensive health insurance coverage to those who are currently uninsured.”
  5. [To remove conscience protections,] “Congress must … eliminate the Weldon Amendment from the annual spending bill that funds the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).”
  6. [To make abortion pills available by mail) “… the administration must immediately issue guidance confirming that the FDA will not require in-person dispensing of abortion pills for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Next, the FDA should review all the restrictions it currently places on abortion pills …”
  7. “Congress must do its part to fulfill [a] basic right by ensuring that the criminal code cannot be used to punish someone for self-managing an abortion.” The document further states the government should produce resources to instruct women how to kill their preborn child using self-managed abortions.
  8. “Congress must also take action to ensure young people have the information and support they need to access affordable and confidential abortion …, including by passing the Real Education for Healthy Youth Act and ensuring that health care reform efforts include coverage and confidentiality protections for young people and abortion ….”
  9. “Congress can also increase the availability of abortion … by creating a service corps that would provide incentives and support for clinicians to offer the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion, in underserved areas.”

So, there you have it. Planned Parenthood’s plans to make the killing of preborn children a government-protected right paid for, as much as possible, with your tax money. Now you know their plans and you know which bills are most important to them.

Whether they succeed or not is up to you. Take action now.

Through the years, Planned Parenthood has supported strange causes and has taken many strange positions. But this latest publicized position by the group just doesn’t make too much sense in light of its other positions.

On June 9, 2020, the Planned Parenthood Action fund wrote a Blog on why Planned Parenthood supports Movement for Black Lives’ (M4BL) campaign to “Defund the Police.” (You can read the six planks in M4BL’s Invest-Divest Platform, including reducing funding to the military, here.) The Blog made it absolutely clear that this was not about reducing police budgets, but in taking the money going to police forces across the United States and using it for other purposes.

The Blog specifically spelled out that:

“A successful plan to defund and divest from the police will look different in every city and require participation from the community. But across the board, Planned Parenthood Action Fund supports calls for national, state, and local governments to:

  1. Shift away from massive spending on police forces that often don’t keep people safe, and reverse centuries of disinvestment in Black communities; and
  2. Shift toward a massive investment in community safety that works — including increased funding in public health — so we can all live connected, represented, and free.”

The dictionary meaning of divest is: “rid oneself of something that one no longer wants or requires.”

The timing of this Blog was seen as strange by us. It came at a time when Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country were admitting to historic and current-day racism inside Planned Parenthood. Our investigation of all of this introspection within Planned Parenthood led to our exclusive Planned Parenthood’s Racism … In Their Own Words report.

We considered the PP Action Fund blog an aberration, UNTIL Planned Parenthood chose to highlight it in its 2019-2020 Annual Report released in March 2021. On page 30 of that report, under the headline “Living Our Values,” Planned Parenthood Federation of America wrote:

“#DefundThePolice

As the country continues a long-overdue reckoning with systemic racism and the murders of Black people at the hands of police, Planned Parenthood stood alongside partners leading the fight for racial justice by supporting the call to #DefundThePolice and invest in community-based solutions, education, and health care instead of militarizing police forces.”

So, here we have an organization that routinely calls local police departments to try and get peaceful pro-life advocates arrested outside its killing centers, promoting the dissolution of those very same police departments. An organization that, unfortunately, has had to rely on armed police officers to protect it from deranged gunmen is literally saying “never mind.”

More importantly, an organization that kills 331 Black babies every day in the United States is now trying to get everyone to forget that inconvenient fact and turn attention on police officers instead. As my Jewish friends in the garment district of New York City would say, what chutzpah!

We don’t need to divest ourselves of the police. What we really need to do is divest ourselves of Planned Parenthood! Now THAT would be an improvement.

The status of Planned Parenthood centers in New York State continues in flux.

While a representative of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York initially told the Daily Freeman that PPGNY was “laser focused” on reopening the Kingston center, which was temporarily closed in April 2020, the rest of her comments in that interview cast some doubt on whether or not the center would actually reopen. When someone says “We are also exploring solutions to help more people safely commute to and from our health centers across Mid-Hudson Valley” and “The Kingston center had only offered medication abortion” while the centers in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie “offer both medication and surgical abortions, along with the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health care access for women and men” and then points out that Kingston patients can receive telehealth services from Planned Parenthood, including “access [to] birth control, emergency contraceptives, HIV risk assessment, STI counseling and treatment, wellness check-ins, medication abortion, and more,” it leaves some doubt that the Kingston center will ever reopen.

According to an April 1, 2021, issue of bizjournals.comPlanned Parenthood of Central and Western New York is working to acquire an East Amherst Street building from Horizon Health, where it plans to move its Buffalo health clinic. The move to 60 E. Amherst St., just behind Planned Parenthood’s existing facility at 2697 Main St., will follow $2 million in renovations at the 9,776-square-foot space. When complete, the agency will be able to offer in-clinic surgical abortion services, in addition to the health care, family planning and medication abortion services currently offered. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. According to plans filed with the State Department of Health, Planned Parenthood will close its existing 15,626-square-foot building once the renovations are complete in the new space, allowing for continuity of services.

Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and Hawaiian Islands has closed three of its medical centers in the state of Washington. Its Kent and Shelton locations closed as well as its First Hill Center at 1229 Madison Street in Seattle. All three centers committed surgical and/or pill abortions.

News reports of the closures say that Planned Parenthood is blaming “low reimbursement rates from the state Medicaid program” as the reason for the closures. Planned Parenthood told reporters that it is “hoping the Legislature will take action in the coming weeks to increase the state’s Medicaid reimbursement rates for family planning services.” If lawmakers do not do so, Planned Parenthood said as many as six of its other clinics across the state are at risk of closure. Planned Parenthood began 2021 with 33 centers in the state.

All three of these locations are “permanently closed” according to Planned Parenthood’s website. There is some indication that Planned Parenthood’s closure of the three centers may have been politically motivated. There is currently a struggle in the state legislature over family planning reimbursement rates. Governor Jay Inslee has proposed an increase but is meeting resistance. State Rep. Nicole Macri, D-Seattle, is working to ensure the Legislature includes the rate increase for family planning clinics in the state’s new two-year budget. She told reporters “the pattern in the Legislature is to adjust Medicaid rates only when there is some sort of crisis, such as a loss of providers that cuts access to certain services in broad areas of the state. She said the recent closures of the Planned Parenthood health centers show that money for family planning services has reached that kind of crisis point.”

Although legislators are pointing to financial reasons, those in the pro-life movement in Washington, see God’s hand in this. Washington is the birthplace of The Church at Planned Parenthood (TCAPP).

As it states on its website, TCAPP “is NOT a protest. It’s a worship service at the gates of Hell. TCAPP is a gathering of Christians for the worship of God and the corporate prayer for repentance for this nation, repentance for the apathetic church and repentance of our blood guiltiness in this abortion holocaust.”

According to their Facebook page, the Covenant Church in Moses Lake, WA, is a staunch supporter of pro-life and is involved in TCAPP worship services outside various Planned Parenthood clinics.

According to Fiber One News, “After the news broke about the closure of the three Planned Parenthood clinics in Washington, the (Covenant Church) posted the following on its Facebook page:”

“Planned Parenthood facilities in Kent, Shelton and First Hill in WASHINGTON State permanently shut their doors this winter, and six more in WASHINGTON could close very soon as well. You think maybe our Worship, Prayer, Giving and Preaching all over Washington at TCAPP services may have something to do with that? God does honor prayer of faith mixed with good works. I think TCAPP had a ton to do with this.”

STOPP is very familiar with The Church at Planned Parenthood and even had its founder, Pastor Ken Peters, as a guest on our Radio Maria Network weekly talk show – Pro-Life Activism from Creation to Death. To find out more about TCAPP, go to its website

Congratulations to all the pro-lifers in The Evergreen State.
