Musicians Rock for Life at Nashville Showcase

WHEN: Monday, April 20, 2009 6 – 11 p.m.

WHERE: Uptown 162
162 Rosa Parks Blvd.
Nashville, TN 37203

WHO: SONICFLOOD, John Schlitt (former lead vocalist, Petra), Luminate, Starlit Platoon, Alakrity, Among The Thirsty, The Sonflowerz, Destination 7, Exit The Ordinary, Burning Yesterday, Hope At Hand

WHAT: Sponsored by Rock for Life, eleven pro-life musicians will unite during Gospel Music Awards Music Week with a revolutionary message of music and life for a new generation.

WHY: "We're a movement in the Christian music scene proclaiming a message of life and personhood for all human beings alongside other Christian artists with songs that give praise to God. Abortion is a crime against humanity and we can no longer look the other way," said Erik Whittington, director of Rock for Life.

Natasha Ponticelli with Destination 7 agrees, "Destination 7 is committed to partnering with Rock for Life in fighting for the rights of the preborn, and speaking on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. We hope our talents can be used to help bring an end to the genocide of this innocent generation."

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to death.  For more information or press inquiries, please contact Katie Walker at 540.659.4942.
