Pro-Life This Week – December 13, 2019

Week in Review – KY Ultrasound Law Upheld; Planned Parenthood Infiltrates LA High Schools; Baby Tinslee Allowed to Live

On Monday, December 9, the Supreme Court upheld a pro-life law in the state of Kentucky. The law requires doctors to show mothers ultrasound images and play the heartbeat prior to aborting their child.

According to Townhall, the state of Kentucky said the law is “simple and straightforward,” which they stated is part of the “informed-consent process” and “does nothing more than require that women who are considering an abortion be provided with information that is truthful, non-misleading and relevant to their decision of whether to have an abortion.”

The law was challenged by pro-choice advocates, including an abortion clinic. They claimed the law infringed on women’s First Amendment rights. The Supreme Court did not agree.

While many pro-life groups saw this as a victory, Judie Brown pointed out the obvious. While mothers are now required to see their baby, they can still decide to murder their child afterwards. In short, this decision is no victory.

Planned Parenthood recently announced they are set to open 50 clinics in Los Angeles County, California, schools throughout the next year. Clinics are already being opened, with one being open at Esteban Torres High School in East L.A. once a week.

This new initiative is being funded by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.

“Officials involved in the project said the selected schools—in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the nation’s second-largest—were targeted because they are largely low-income and have no similar medical providers in the vicinity,” according to the Washington Post. “Two public health officials, trained by Planned Parenthood, will be stationed full time at each school to provide education and counseling, and a Planned Parenthood nurse practitioner or other medical provider will come once a week.”

These 50 high school clinics are in addition to the 33 campuses of the two state universities that have been mandated by the state legislature to become abortion facilities.

On December 13, a Texas judge ruled that baby Tinslee Lewis will be allowed to continue life support for at least another three weeks.

According to CBS News, Tinslee was born premature with Ebstein’s anomaly, a rare heart defect. Texas doctors argued Tinslee has no quality of life, and planned to remove her life support invoking Texas’ “10-day rule,” despite pleas from her mother to keep her alive.

Pro-life Social Media – Planned Parenthood has done it.

The largest abortion provider in the United States tweeted the most sensible, logical, moral message in all of its history of propagandizing on Twitter. Behold:

“No exceptions”? Did a pro-life activist hack Planned Parenthood’s account or get hired as its social media manager?

Ok, maybe not. By exceptions, we’ve concluded that preborn children ARE always the exception to Planned Parenthood’s version of human rights. Nevertheless, pro-life Twitter users took notice of Planned Parenthood’s contradictory message:

And that’s just one year.

We didn’t think so.
