Pro-Life This Week – October 25, 2019

Week in Review – Planned Parenthood secrecy, New CLSP contests, New CMP Trial

Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (PPSLRSWMO) opened its new mega-abortion facility at 317 Salem Place, Fairview Heights, Illinois this week. You may recall that the center was built in secret. Planned Parenthood disguised the existence of the facility by using the name Raider Ventures LLC as the property owner. The address for the fake company was a mailbox inside a UPS store in Dallas, TX. Internally, Planned Parenthood used the code name “Alaska” for the project. As noted by St. Louis Public Radio, “Although Planned Parenthood did not say how late in the pregnancy it would commit abortions; the fact is that the laws of Illinois would allow PP to legally kill preborn children right up to delivery.” When the new center opened, Planned Parenthood closed its small existing center in nearby Belleville, IL.

On Monday, October 7, American Life League launched The Marian Blue Wave. Just 18 days later, over 1,500 individuals have committed to saying a Rosary a week for the end to abortion and the closing of every Planned Parenthood facility in the country. ALL announced this week that the Marian Blue Wave is on every continent (except Antarctica—sorry, no Catholic penguins). The MBW is supported in 19 countries across the world. The countries are Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Ghana, India, Ireland, Jersey, Channel Islands (UK), Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland), and the United States. If you have not, yet, signed up for this exciting effort, you can do so by going here

Planned Parenthood continues to be actively trying to open larger abortion facilities across the country. This past week, ALL’s executive director was in California where Planned Parenthood is building a large abortion facility in Baldwin Park. The facility will replace at least one smaller PP facility in a nearby community. Local citizens formed a group, No PP in BP, to combat the PP facility. They’ve discovered the city council actually passed a resolution a couple of years ago inviting Planned Parenthood to come to town. The dedicated PP opponents are determined to stop PP from coming to town or, at the very least, make its stay in Baldwin Park a short one. Other California cities fighting against Planned Parenthood include Glendale—where PP does not, yet, have a facility but announced it wants one in town, and Pasadena—where there is an existing facility that is headquarters for Planned Parenthood of Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.

Across the country, residents of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, are upset as Planned Parenthood is closing a center in Stuart on January 14, 2020, and opening in a building it owns in Port Saint Lucie on January 22, 2020 (the 47thanniversary of Roe v Wade). The new facility will be located at 1696 SE Hillmoor Drive, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952. ALL’s executive director has been working with residents who are opposed to PP to help them make it difficult for PP to thrive in their new facility. Planned Parenthood operates over 51 percent of all the abortion facilities in the nation and proclaims itself as the largest provider of sexuality education in the nation. Thus, the fight to save babies from abortion and teenagers from outrageous comprehensive sexuality education, almost always involves fighting Planned Parenthood in some way.

Please continue to pray for all involved in the court cases that have emerged since pro-lifers documented conclusive evidence that Planned Parenthood has been involved in the gruesome and illegal business of selling baby body parts from dead, and living, victims of abortion.
