Portland, Oregon, Public Schools Targeting Students with Planned Parenthood Propaganda

Washington, D.C. – American Life League expresses outrage at Planned Parenthood’s recent ploy to target our children through the nationwide Teen Outreach Program. Condemning these policy implementations, Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League, issued the following statement:

Declared by the Supreme Court to be law, Obamacare has now armed Planned Parenthood to be the largest purveyor of comprehensive sex education programs to our kids. With a pre-funded appropriation of $75 million a year for five years for Personal Responsibility and Education Programs (PREP)—-the new name for comprehensive sex education programs—-it is now showing up in schools disguised as Teen Outreach Programs, among others.

Planned Parenthood deceives parents into signing up for these after, in-school, or community-based programs, which it masks as enrichment or life skills programs. And it uses monetary incentives to entice our teenagers to participate.

In the state of Oregon, Planned Parenthood has filed a formal complaint with the school district seeking disciplinary action against William Diss, a teacher at Benson High School in Portland, for refusing to let Planned Parenthood personnel talk to his students without proper authorization. Planned Parenthood did get to talk to the students and used aggressive tactics to obtain the children’s signatures for Teen Outreach Program and Community Voice Program participation (promising gifts and cash).

These abortionists are in the sex business and have only one agenda to get our children focused on sexual activities. If we do nothing to repeal this law, our children will continue to be targeted and victimized by the sex and abortion industry.

We urge all citizens in the Portland Public Schools’ area to contact the district superintendent, Carole Smith, as well as the school board, and ask them to protect the children of the district from any further attacks by Planned Parenthood. Ms. Smith can be contacted at 503-916-2000. The school board can be reached through Kathryn Sofich, board office, 503-916-3904, or via e-mail at
