Judie Brown Denounces MS Abortion Law Headed to SCOTUS

For Immediate Release

Brown: “The Supreme Court should stop pandering to politics and start defending human beings. Period.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (18 May 2021) – American Life League president Judie Brown released the following statement today following the announcement that the US Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case about a Mississippi law that seeks to ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy:

American Life League has fought for more than 40 years to protect preborn children from direct killing, whether by chemical, clinical, or surgical abortion. So this announcement that the Supreme Court will hear arguments on the very flawed Mississippi surgical abortion regulation case is actually deplorable for babies.

Why the court cannot see the futility in curbing the direct killing of the innocent when the nation has strict laws regarding every other form of violent slaying is beyond us. We await the day when the Supreme Court discovers that there is no right to murder, whether prior to birth or after it.

The Supreme Court should stop pandering to politics and start defending human beings. Period.

American Life League is the nation’s oldest grassroots, Catholic, pro-life organization. Its president, Judie Brown, has led the organization since its 1979 beginning. She has served three terms on the Pontifical Academy for Life—appointed twice by Pope John Paul II and again by Pope Benedict XVI.
