Most news that involves Planned Parenthood (PP) usually takes a decidedly rotten turn for the worse. Just a few days ago, for example, a LifeSiteNews (LSN) report entitled, “Planned Parenthood reports: abortions up, adoptions down, business is good” provoked nausea. The LSN article deals with Planned Parenthood’s recently released annual report. The report includes information on the millions of our tax dollars pouring into its coffers, as well as the latest abortion, birth control, sterilization and adoption information. “The data shows … the number of abortions stood at 305,310, while the number of adoptions was 4,912.”
One does not have to be a genius to ascertain why the disparity between the number of abortions and adoptions exists. Planned Parenthood is not in the business of affirming life, motherhood or parenthood. According to its annual report, PP’s efforts “helped prevent roughly 621,000 unintended pregnancies.”
Note that “unintended” is a subjective term applied to babies deemed unworthy of being born. Clearly if the expectant mother did not intend to be pregnant, then her baby is a problem. Enter taxpayer-funded crimes against humanity—with abortion being the most horrific of them.
PP’s report is replete with self-congratulatory hype, yet the facts speak clearly to the truth about what Planned Parenthood is most dedicated to doing—promoting any type of surgical, medical or chemical abortion that will result in less preborn children.
If one is honest, it is clear that the effects of Planned Parenthood’s propaganda over the past 68 years are hard to deny. Take, for example, the television programming that glamorizes sex outside of marriage—not to mention infidelity within marriage. And it isn’t just about adults. According to a recent report by Parents Television Council (PTC), underage girls are the latest media targets. From MTV to the internet, sex is everywhere. According to PTC president, Tim Winter, “The results from this report show Tinseltown’s eagerness to not only objectify and fetishize young girls, but to sexualize them in such a way that real teens are led to believe their sole value comes from their sexuality. … Storylines on the most popular shows among teens are sending the message to our daughters that being sexualized isn’t just acceptable, it should be sought after.”
It is understandable that a critic of my comments might suggest that blaming Planned Parenthood for this twisted version of human behavior is a stretch. But such an individual would apparently not be familiar with Planned Parenthood’s lack of commitment to purity, virginity and the integrity of the human person. Or such a person really couldn’t care less about virtuous living—in which case we have nothing in common from which to proceed.
But for all those who really want to dig out the truth, let me say that anyone who views Planned Parenthood’s “Info for Teens” page, where “LGBTQ” is featured, would immediately have a clue! “LGBTQ” stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (or questioning)—behaviors that do not in any way coincide with Christian virtues.
In addition, it would be remiss not to call attention to additional crimes against humanity for which Planned Parenthood is, at the very least, an instigator. The latest Stop Planned Parenthood International’s Wednesday STOPP Report (WSR) informs us of the following stories:
• Planned Parenthood installing sexual assault exam suites as a part of the expansion of its business
Sexual assault is a crime, and thus we must question why we, the American taxpayers, are funding an organization that is negligent when it comes to reporting sexual abuse cases.
According to the Wednesday STOPP Report, in the story about Planned Parenthood creating sexual assault exam suites, “Certainly, if Planned Parenthood can establish itself as ‘the’ exam center in a community for victims of sexual assault, it will no longer have to fight the many hospitals that do not prescribe the abortifacient ‘emergency contraceptives’ that Planned Parenthood hawks; it will have the girls and women in its clutches from the beginning and can rest assured that any child conceived by rape or incest will die for the sins of his or her father.”
Thanks to Obamacare, we taxpayers will pay $11 billion for expansion of community health centers. And if anyone thinks Planned Parenthood will miss out on this money, step up and drink a glass of reality.
It is time to stop the madness. Taxpayer-funded crimes against humanity will cease to exist when and only when Planned Parenthood is turned away from the taxpayer dollar spigot.
